From WSU WorldCat, you can search for books, journal articles from a strong and growing array of research indexes, digital collections, and other materials. For books and media items like DVDs and CDs, you can search and request for delivery items that are held by any WSU library, along with items held by the libraries of the 35 other institutions in the regional Summit alliance. Taken together, WSU and the Summit institutions hold 9.2 million unique titles and 28.7 million items; for the first time, WSU WorldCat makes them requestable to you from a single search system.

WSU WorldCat also indexes journal articles from sources like ArticleFirst and JSTOR (which have interdisciplinary coverage), PubMed (with health sciences coverage), Business Source Complete, and other indexes. Content from SCOPUS and ScienceDirect collections from 2006 to the present is also included. There are over are 650 million articles indexed in WSU WorldCat.

From article records in WSU WorldCat, you can use the Findit! button to access, in many cases, full-text articles in electronic format. For items not owned by WSU, you can place requests for electronic article delivery using the ArticleReach service. With the recent elimination of interlibrary loan fees for WSU faculty, staff, and students, WSU WorldCat will enable you to efficiently find and obtain the materials that you need for your research.

A portion of Washington State University's online digital collections (digitized copies of unique items held locally) is also accessible through WSU WorldCat.
